Hey Amanda, www.allears.net says starting Oct 26, 2011 many restaurants will have new cancel policy. I have ADRs at many of them for our trip. Do they mean ADRs made on or after Oct 26 or for any that take place after Oct 26? We visit April 2012. Thx!

Hi Laurie! We here on the Moms Panel are still working on getting the official scoop on this new dining reservation cancellation policy, but my understanding is that the new policy will apply only to reservations made on or after October 26. Most of the restaurants that will be subject to the new cancellation policy do not currently require a credit card guarantee, so you needn't worry about being charged a fee if you don't appear for the reservations you've already made. Beginning October 26, certain restaurants will require you to provide a credit card number when you make your dining reservation, and if you fail to cancel or show up for those reservations, your card will be charged a $10 per person fee. Since your reservations were made prior to this time and you didn't provide a credit card number, you won't be subject to this fee. However, it's always nice to cancel your reservations if you find that you're unable to use them.

Wishing you a magical vacation in April! Come visit me again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! I'm always happy to help!
