Hey it is me again, and again...I have seen online that for dining it is a pants required dress code regardless of formal or casual dining. I usually were shorts for casual dining myself and a couple of guys in our group. Is this true?

    Ahoy, J!
Thanks for stopping by with your question regarding dress code for dinner - I know it can be tricky to pack for a cruise!

On a Disney Cruise, most nights will be "cruise casual", which calls for no swimwear, tank tops, and, as a general rule, no shorts or flip-flops. The dining rooms are very elegant and special, and most guests will choose to dress up a bit for dinner. That being said, on my most recent cruise I did see a few fellow guests in nice, longer-style shorts with button-front shirts or collared casual shirts. You certainly won't be turned away from the dining room if you choose to opt for shorts, but you should probably expect to see most guests in long pants.

For nights that are listed as Dress-Up, Semi-Formal, and Formal, dress pants with jackets or suits are recommended. Also, if you plan to dine in one of the Adult-Only restaurants on the ship, there are special dress code requirements for those venues.

I hope this helps! No matter the attire, you're in for a fabulous vacation when you sail with Disney Cruise Line. Please come back and visit with any more questions as you plan your magical voyage! - Diane W.
