Cheers, Christopher! Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
My daughter's birthday is coming up in a few months, and she's decided to celebrate it at Disney. She just informed me what restaurant she wants for her birthday dinner, so your question came at the perfect time. Let's dive into how and when we can pick our favorite
Disney dining haunts!
So the first thing to do is decide when you are visiting the Resort. Once you've got that locked in, you can pick your advanced dining reservations. Dining reservations open 60 days before your visit, and you can make those
online or through the
Disneyland app. Reservations open at 6 am, and if the restaurant (or dining event) is very popular, it may go very quickly. Just keep checking back as availability often changes (especially when other Guests drop/change their reservations).
I wish Tinker Bell could sprinkle some pixie dust and alert us via the app when a reservation opens, but that's asking too much of her! Making a reservation for off-times (think 430 or 9 pm for dinner or 10 am for breakfast) is usually more successful than peak times. Also, if you're planning for a large party, consider separating it into two smaller parties when searching for availability.
Christopher, besides reservation restaurants, there are many great
Quick Service restaurants throughout the Resort! One of our favorite places to grab a bite is at
Bengal Barbecue. Their skewers are absolutely delicious. Please take my advice, order the bacon-wrapped asparagus, and thank me later! If you have any other questions, you know where to find us!
