Help!!I am trying to get a cake for my daughter's birthday. We have egg and nut allergies. The bakery at the Polynesian is unable to do this and gave me baby cakes which sounded great but they use Coconut flour, milk and oil in their frosting. Any ideas?

Hi, Kathleen!  Okay, so the first thing to do is call the Cake Hotline at Walt Disney World.  There may be a chance that even if the Polynesian can't help, someone else on Walt Disney World property can help.  They do have allergen free cakes, and as for the egg, perhaps you could suggest a non-dairy frosting instead?  You can reach the Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253.

If you can substitute another baked good for a birthday cake, you might want to give BabyCakes another try.  Many of their items are made with rice flour, garbanzo beans, and fava beans, with agave as a sweetner.

If neither of those options pans out, there is a bakery in Orlando called Raphsodic that produces the most amazing vegan desserts.  They are very sensitive to allergies, and they are always open to discuss possibilities that work with special dietary concerns.  Just do a Google search for their website.

I hope this gives you some ideas to work with!
