You all are so helpful-this panel is great! Coming in May, Fantasmic showing only 3 nights. Will DHS be busier on EMH night or Fant night? Family coming has never seen Fant, would catch Sun show, miss EMH for DHS Mon and MK Sun nights. Skip EMH or Fant?

Hey Adrienne, thanks! We are so excited to have this chance to help other families plan and enjoy their Disney vacations as much as we all do! I have to tell you my family is a little biased when it comes to this question. We love Fantasmic and never miss seeing it when we are at WDW. The show is a phenomenal display of lights and lazers in time to Disney music and the battle of Disney good vs. evil. Although we love the added feature of the extra magic hours, we have found in our travels that the parks tend to be more crowded when extra magic hours are offered there as many guests are drawn to that location for the added park time. Typically the better bonus for extra magic hours is in the morning when you can get an early start and beat the bulk of the visitors. The morning EMHs is a great chance to get in and hit some of the most popular attractions before attendance rises. By the time the evening extra magic hours start, the parks are in full swing and the crowds are heavier since many stick around to enjoy some extra play time. We find that we get a lot less done during the evening hours and therefore are not nearly as important to us.

Given our experience with the extra magic hour crowds and knowing how incredible the Fantasmic show is, i would easily pick Fantasmic in this case. I don't think you will be diappointed. Have a great time!
