    HELP!!!! Going to WDW with DH, home from Iraq, in Jan this will be a homecoming, anniversary, 2nd honeymoon trip. Booked BC for Jan 16-24, but worried I should try BW instead. Our first deluxe. Can I get some advice? Thanks you guys are the best

    First and foremost I thank you and your husband for your service to our country.  I know the sacrifices you are all making and I am deeply grateful.

    You have a lot to celebrate!  I'm so happy for you, and I think you've made a great selection in the Beach Club.  I'm sure you have read that the main pool there, Stormalong Bay, will be closed for refurbishment during that time.  However, there are three leisure pools there that will still be open for your enjoyment, and you will be welcome to use the main feature pool at the Boardwalk Resort as well.  (The Boardwalk is a very short 5 minute walk from the Beach Club)  Because of these other offerings, I would not change my resort based solely on the pool.

    As far as location goes, the Beach Club is our favorite spot on Disney property.  You have a beautiful view of the beach, and fun entertainment and great dining available at the boardwalk.  The short walk into Epcot's World Showcase makes fine dining very easy, and this is particularly nice for couples on a romantic getaway.  Also, this is a very convenient resort to Hollywood Studios as well, another park that adults tend to really enjoy.  And if you have park hopper tickets you can even walk through Epcot and grab the monorail over to Magic Kingdom.  (We much prefer the monorail over the bus, so we love to do this)
