Help! What is the "valid through" date on our tickets? Is it "must start by" or "must use by" date? We bought 7 day tickets and arrive on the 8th but our "valid through" date is the 13th.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Allison! I’m happy to see that you will be visiting the most magical place on earth this September!

With seven fun-filled days at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, you will have plenty of time to enjoy all the new offerings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Andy and his toys have a whole lot of fun to share with you in the new Toy Story Land. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, the new Pandora- World of Avatar offers up some out of this world views in the Valley of Mo’ara, sure to impress everyone in your group!

Allison, you will have plenty of time to enjoy all of the days on your theme park tickets for this upcoming trip. Here’s the fine print on your tickets. You must use the tickets and all of their options, 14 days within their first use. This would mean that if you use your tickets for the first time on September 8th, you have until the 22nd to enjoy those days.

The “must start by” date is simply the window for when you should use those tickets for the first time. In other words, as long as you use your tickets for the first time from the 8th through the 13th, you’re good to go. Your “valid through” date is simply when that 14-day count begins after you tap your MagicBand or ticket to that Mickey sensor at one of the theme parks for the very first time.

I hope this clears up any confusion about theme park tickets. If you have any other questions, you can always come back to see us. It’s our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next magical vacation!
