Help! We are traveling to Disney in 3 weeks, Sept. 21. We have two littel girls ages 4 and almost 2. My husband just broke his foot. What can I do to make the trip easier on all of us? I am not sure how to manage everyone there! :)

    Hi Renee,

I am so sorry that your husband broke his foot. I would plan the trip like I was going solo with the my girls. I would pack as little as possible to go into the parks and use a backpack to keep my hands free. Also, think about an umbrella double stroller to help manage everything.

Next, think about where you are staying and where you are touring. Determine if the Disney transportation is going to be more difficult or not to travel on. If you are always going to be on a bus (staying at Moderate or Value Resort), you may want to rent a car to drive to and from the parks. If you are staying on a monorail resort or at Yacht and Beach or Boardwalk, you could manage easier "alone" then on the bus.

You can also rent your husband an ECV. While expensive, it will be less tiring then walking on crutches through the parks. If you can not do it for the entire trip, Epcot and Animal Kingdom would be my recommended days to use it.

Finally, you may have to do less this trip than you wanted. Remember if you think about Disney in smaller pieces, it will not seem as unmanageable.

Remember to take some time for your self!
