Help! We are really stuck between staying at AKL or WL. Which would you recommend for a young couple (ages: 20 & 22)? Staying 12/10-12/17. Quick bus service is really important to us! This will also be our first stay at a dlx resort.

    Hi Erin!

Well, that is a tough choice! You've picked two of my favorite resorts!

While you really can't go wrong with either, given this same choice, we usually choose to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. We enjoy spending time at the Magic Kingdom, often park hopping so that we start or end our day there. Since the Wilderness Lodge offers boat transportation directly there, we find its a great bonus.

We also love to spend time at Epcot and will often use a combination of boats and monorails to travel there from the Wilderness Lodge, rather than taking the bus.

BUT, if you plan on spending an significant amount of time at your resort, then the Animal Kingdom Lodge is an incredible place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. There are numerous viewing areas throughout the lodge - so you're sure to see some exotic animals! The only real downside of this resort for me, is that buses are required for transportation to all parks.

Hope this helps! Enjoy your stay - whichever place you pick!
