    Help! Planning a trip in December. Can't seem to pick between Coronado springs and port Orleans riverside. Traveling with two children aged 5 and 7. One girl and one boy! Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Marcia!  We're glad you're here!  How exciting you are planning a trip to the "Most Magical Place on Earth" in December! I have personally stayed at both Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort and loved them both! Both of these Disney Moderate Resorts offer unique theming, fun recreational activities and excellent quick-service dining locations. With that being said, I personally prefer the rural Louisiana theming and relaxing atmosphere found at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside. I also love that guests can take the Sassagoula River Cruise (water taxi) to Downtown Disney from this resort location. I believe you will find the recreational activities that are offered at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort to be appealing to your young kids. At this resort location, guests can participate in various recreational activities such as catch and release fishing, horse-drawn carriage rides, campfire on de’ Bayou, Surrey bike rentals, regular bike rentals, boat rentals, plus much more. Although I do love the Dig Site and Lost City of Cibola feature pool at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, I have to give the edge to Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort especially for the ages of your children.
