    Help Moms! was planning 2 go in July for son's bday but people have freaked me out about heat  thinking about not going. need some advice from experts (you). what are good strategies to go enjoy. THX

    Hi, Sonia! The nerve of these people, causing you to freak out! Let's see if we can calm you down and get you back on track.

    I'm not going to sugar coat it - July in Orlando is hot.  And humid.  You will also likely have a brief but heavy rain shower in the afternoon.  Every afternoon.

    But wait, I'm supposed to be helping you NOT freak out!

    I hate the hot weather, but there are definitely ways to successfully navigate Walt Disney World in July.  I like to hit the theme parks early in the morning, before the real heat of the day begins.  I can usually knock out quite a few attractions before the midday heat.  By around noon, we'll stop and grab lunch in a nice cool place, and then maybe do one more attraction before heading back to the resort to rest.  Sometimes, we'll enjoy the pool, other times, we might catch a movie, bowl a game or two, or head into DisneyQuest at Downtown Disney.  If I can get the kids to agree, we might even just go back for an afternoon nap.

    Once the late afternoon/evening sets in, we'll venture back out to the parks.  It's nice to be cool and rested to tackle the evening.  We try to do an attraction or two before heading somewhere to grab a bite to eat, and we try to take things slowly.  Take advantage of evening extra magic hours if you are a resort guest, and make the most of the time when the sun goes down.

    Don't try to get it all done, plan for some breaks, and drink lots of water.  You can make this magic happen!
