    HELP! We planned a trip down in March for my son's first haircut, but found out that Harmony Barbershop is closed for renovations. I called the salons in the resorts and was told that none of them have a First Haircut package. Is there an alternative?

    Hi Laurie,

    While the "My First Haircut package" is an exclusive package of Harmony Barber Shop at Magic Kingdom Park, other Disney Resort hotel salons do offer children's haircuts. Ship Shape Massage - Salon - Fitness at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts and Ivy Trellis Salon at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa both provide children's haircut. For appointment information and more details, call (407) WDW-SPAS or (407) 939-7727.

    If you choose to get your son's haircut at a salon, one option would be to commemorate the special occasion yourself. One part of the package at Harmony Barber Shop is a pair of Mickey Ears with "First Haircut" embroidered on the back. You could let your son pick out his own special set of Mickey Ears and have them embroidered right at Magic Kingdom Park. It could be his special gift for being so brave.
