Help! Last minute trip w/DD 3&4yrs on 6/14-18. Is it worth getting the Theme park view at GF? Considering age of kids should we just go to MK 1 day? I don't want to spend extra $ for another day if we won't do very much the 2nd day. Thanks a lot!!

Hi, Crystal!  There are a couple of ways to think about the theme park view at the Grand Floridian Resort.  The view of the Magic Kingdom from is spectacular, and if you plan to spend a lot of the vacation relaxing in your room, you'll be able to enjoy the view, especially if you want to watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom each night.  If the majority of your vacation is going to be spent outside of your resort, then there probably isn't a reason to request the theme park view.  The rooms are just as lovely throughout the resort, and you can save some money by opting for a lower priced room.

As for visiting the Magic Kingdom twice, I have to tell you, with children this age, it's going to be hit or miss as to whether you can do and see everything you want to do.  It is very hot and humid this time of year, and I know with my girls, it makes it seem like we're moving a little bit slower, lingering longer where there is air conditioning, and taking more breaks throughout the day.  You are also heading down there when the summer crowds are starting to pick up, so you may find lines a little bit longer.  I also try during the hottest days to go first thing in the morning, then take a bit of a break in the afternoon, heading back into the theme park late in the day.  So for my family, I'd probably need the second day just to finish seeing everything.

It is certainly something you could play by ear.  Add the second day if you feel like you've missed too much on the first day!

    Have a great vacation!
