Help me experts!! I'm traveling with my wife and 2 girls, 5 and 1and half. Its their first time and I want to make it special for them. My daughter loves the Little Mermaid and princesses. I'm stuck between AoA and Port Orleans. Which is closer to MK?

Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Samantha!  I know you must be very excited to take your daughters on their first Walt Disney World vacation!  I completely understand wanting to make sure it is extra magical for them! I definitely think DIsney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort are both excellent choices for their first trip!  I will be staying in The Little Mermaid standard room at DIsney's Art of Animation Resort next month and then a Royal Guest Room at DIsney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort in January. I guess you could say that I'm a big fan of The Little Mermaid and the Disney Princesses as well! I wanted to let you know that if you do decide to book a Royal Guest Room, your daughter will get to see magical surprises from the Disney Princesses (including Aerial) which are incorporated into the guest room. Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort is closer to Magic Kingdom Park. Although both of these amazing guest rooms offer an immersive storybook experience, I would personally choose Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort for the fun recreational activities available, dining options, beautiful landscaping, and being able to travel to Downtown Disney via the Sassagoula River Cruise. I hope this information is helpful in making your decision. Please feel free to visit me again with any additional questions. Sending pixie-dusted wishes that your daughters have a magical first trip, Samantha!
    Happy Planning,
