Can you help me decide between a 2 BR at Saratoga Springs Preferred, or a 2 BR at Copper Creek for a resort-only stay in May?

Welcome to planDisney, Joyce! I am so glad that you brought your vacation question here for us to help. It would be my pleasure to assist you in choosing between two fabulous Disney Vacation Club Resorts. Truly they are both amazing, so it will be a bit of personal preference that will be the deciding factor for you. Let me offer you some information about each resort, with comparisons and hopefully, it will help you choose the right one for you!

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa has a special place in my heart. As a Disney Vacation Club Member, it is my “Home Resort” and my family always enjoys staying here. For me, the best thing about this resort is how easily you can walk from a Villa in Congress Park to Disney Springs. Since you are doing a resort-only stay, this may be the perfect option since you will have access to the shopping, dining, and entertainment of Disney Springs just a short walk away. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa has High Rock Springs feature pool with a waterslide in addition to two other leisure pools. You can enjoy quick-service dining at The Artist’s Palette, The Paddock Grill, or the light menu of The Turf Club Lounge, or grab a refreshing beverage poolside at On the Rocks Pool Bar.

Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Resort are quiet and nestled within the trees, so if you are looking for a rustic and peaceful getaway, taking in the views of nature, this might be the resort for you! At this resort, you can enjoy access to Copper Creek Springs Pool with a 67-foot waterslide built into rocks or Boulder Ridge Cove Pool, a zero-depth entry pool perfect for relaxing and soaking in the sunshine. You can enjoy a deliciously filling bottomless platter at the table-service restaurant Whispering Canyon Café, where the sassy Cast Members are a hoot! You also have the option for quick-service meals at Roaring Fork and the poolside eatery Geyser Point Bar & Grill.

Both resorts offer poolside activities, Movies Under the Stars, Fitness Center, Community Hall/Reunion Station, and sports/multi-purpose courts. Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge have the added amenities of fishing excursions and views of the Electrical Water Pageant.

I hope that this information about the two resorts helps you choose the best option for your next visit to Walt Disney World! Please stop back by planDisney if we can assist you any further or help answer any more of your vacation questions.

    Happy Planning!
