Help! Only 3 days left! We are staying at the Port Orleans. Being as it is near Epcot, would it be faster to go to Epcot and then take the monorail to MK or just take the bus direct from the hotel to MK?

    3 days - I am so jealous!

It would likely be faster to wait for the direct bus to the Magic Kingdom.  The reason being that there is a lot of time spent walking from the bus to the monorail platform at Epcot.  Then you'll have to wait for a monorail, which can take several minutes since there are fewer monorails running on the Epcot line than there are on the Magic Kingdom line, and it's a longer ride.

However, we really enjoy the monorail.  It's sort of like a ride in and of itself to my family, and the trip from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom is the best part.  It's a longer jaunt so you get to enjoy it more, and the scenery is nice if you can snag a window seat.  This is also a great time to ask about being an honorary 'pilot' - you get to ride in the front car and help drive the monorail.  My daughter got pictures taken and a little award, and she was so proud of herself.  The longer trip from Epcot makes it a better experience for the kids, and we got a great view from that front car.

So yes, if you're in a hurry then definitely wait for the bus at your resort.  But if you have a few minutes to spare, the monorail ride can be a lot of fun.  :)

    Have a great vacation!
