Hi Roger!
Thanks for stopping by to see us here at planDisney! You’ll be happy to know that
Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets that are wholly unused can be transferred to another Guest. I have done this myself before, and I love the fact that you can do it online! Do know that once you have used any of the days on the ticket though, it cannot be transferred. So if Grandma has decided not to come on the trip, but Uncle Orville wants to come in her place, you
can reassign that ticket to Uncle Orville!
You can easily change who the ticket is assigned to in
My Disney Experience before your trip! I do feel like it is a little hidden on the desktop version, so let’s see if we can help you find it. Under the My Plans heading, you will scroll down and you’ll see the list of people you are planning with, and under there you’ll see your Daily Itinerary. It’s rather small, but you’ll see a heading for Daily Itinerary on the left side of the screen and you can toggle it to Tickets & Memory Maker. Choose that Tickets & Memory Maker option. This will open a new screen and you’ll be able to reassign tickets to different Guests on this page.
On the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, choose the three horizontal lines in the lower right corner and you’ll see a menu open where you can choose Tickets & Passes. You can then scroll through your tickets and any unused tickets will have a Reassign Ticket option appear below them. Select that option and follow the prompts to reassign the ticket!
You’ll be able to choose anyone in your
Family & Friends list. You can add Family & Friends to your account if you plan to manage all their vacation details, or you can have adults create their own My Disney Experience Account and you can link to them so that you can share plans. I recommend the latter option if possible.
I hope this helps you get your tickets straightened out, Roger! Please feel free to send additional questions to us here on planDisney before your trip. We are here to help!
Have a Magical Day!
