HELP!! Booked a trip for November 2011. Staying at the WL, which we LOVE. Now thinking the Beach CLub may be better for us and our 7 and 4 year old girls. Transportation to/from parks? Dining? Theme? I'm really confused.

    Hi Kristen!

I'm with you! I LOVE the Wilderness Lodge!! Even after staying at every Deluxe resort, I find myself returning to the lodge time and time again! BUT, I also do like to try new resorts - so that's a really tough call!

The Beach Club is a GREAT option too. The pool is spectacular - there really isn't another pool at Disney World that compares!

As for transportation, Epcot is just a short stroll away. Hollywood Studios is reached by a short boat ride or longer walk. If your family enjoys these two parks and will be spending a bunch of time there, then the location is perfect!

Other parks can be reached by bus. If you'll be spending quite a bit of your vacation at the Magic Kingdom, you may find you miss the quick boat ride from the lodge. This will really depend on where you plan to spend your park days.

As far as dining goes, there are quite a few great options at the Beach Club, Yacht Club and Boardwalk. All are within a quick stroll. The Beach Club even features character meals at Cape May Cafe!. AND, don't forget, depending on when your vacation is you may even be able to head over to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival for some meals!

As far as theme goes, The Beach Club, in my opinion,  is quite a bit more understated than the Wilderness Lodge. It reminds me of beach-side New England resorts. Beautiful, but not over-the-top like the lodge.

    Hope this helps you decide!!
