Hi Paul,
Greetings from a former Hoosier, and thanks for bringing your question to us here at planDisney! At this point in the phased reopening, you're exactly right...it's not enough to have tickets; theme park reservations are also required. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble making yours, and I'd be happy to share a few tips to hopefully get you all squared away and back to dreaming about all the magic and fun you'll enjoy during your vacation.
First, Disney
streamlined their website back in May to avoid this exact situation. If you
purchased tickets on May 17th or later, you should already have theme park reservations. Have you checked your account (either
online or via the
Disneyland mobile app) to confirm that your reservations aren't automagically already there? If you purchased your tickets prior to May 17th or from a third party, though, you will still need to make your reservations. Since you're having trouble doing so, I'd encourage you to check the
availability calendar to confirm there are still openings on your selected day. Also, have you double checked that your tickets are linked to your account? The system won't let you make a reservation without a valid theme park ticket. Or, another issue could be that your ticket isn't a high enough
tier for the specific day you're trying to book. You may need to upgrade your ticket before you'll be able to make your reservation. Whatever the trouble seems to be, I'm sending pixie dust that it all gets straightened out soon. If you need further assistance, I'd encourage you to reach out to a friendly Cast Member via
phone,
email, or the chat feature within the Disneyland mobile app.
Thanks again for visiting us at planDisney, Paul, and please come see us again with any other questions you may have as you're planning your visit. I hope you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
