Hi Danelle! I happen to be at Walt Disney World right now, and just the other day I was telling my husband that the Beach Club is my new favorite resort. I love the Beach Club's bright, cheery and luxurious rooms, and the location can't be beat. It's so convenient to walk to Epcot or take a boat ride to Hollywood Studios, and strolling the Boardwalk at night is so much fun. Nearby dining options are plentiful since the resort is so close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and within walking distance of the Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin, as well as the Yacht Club. My kids are about the same ages as yours and they love the Stormalong Bay pool. The gigantic slide is awesome, and so is the lazy river, sandy beach, and whirlpool. The pool is always bustling with fun kids' activities, but you can find quiet areas too. In the evenings there's a campfire and movies on the beach. Often for about the same price as a regular room at the Polynesian, you can reserve a club level room at the Beach Club, which gives you extra amenities such as itinerary planning, turndown service, and food and drink offerings. While the Polynesian does have an enchanting tropical atmosphere that can make you feel transported to another world, the Beach Club also makes you feel like you're vacationing in an upscale beach resort. I think you would love it just as much as the Polynesian!

If you're torn between resorts, consider splitting your stay between two resorts. I often can't choose between resorts so I frequently divide my stay between two of them. It's a bit of pain to pack up and move mid-vacation, but to me it's worth it to experience different resorts. On this trip we started our stay at the Grand Floridian and are now at the Beach Club. It was so nice to be next to the Magic Kingdom for a few days and now to be close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
