Hello, We want to get to the theme parks each day at rope drop! How long does it take to travel? and how early do the buses start running?

    Hey Samantha,

Nice to see you back at the Moms Panel.  There is nothing more exciting than being at the theme parks for rope drop.  Each opening is a special celebration and a magical start to your day.  Hop on Disney Bus Transportation at your resort which starts one hour before park opening.  Travel time is dependent on which hotel you are staying at and which theme park you are traveling to.  I always plan for an hour of travel time which includes waiting for the bus, pick-up stops at your resort and actual drive time to the destination.

Don't forget to check out the Park Calendar for Extra Magic Hours to see which parks are open early during your stay.  You'll really get a head start on your day by taking advantage of this perk offered to guests staying at the Walt Disney World Resort.

We'd love to answer more of your vacation planning questions, so keep 'em coming!
