Hello, We are traveling with 2 families to Disney in June. One of the members is having a big 40 birthday. The husband wants to throw a party for her while we are there since they have family in Florida. Is there a place that would be able to host a part

Hi, Denise!  There is a huge variety of options available when planning a special event at Walt Disney World.  There are restaurants that have rooms they can use to accommodate a private party, including the Wave at the Contemporary Resort and Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Some of the hotels also have rooms that they use for parties and events.  One of my favorites is Ariel's at Disney's Beach Club Resort.  The Moms and I recently had a bridal shower event there that was very nice.

If you contact Disney Catered Events, they will have a variety of options for you.  Some of them include venues inside the theme parks.  There are dessert parties during Illuminations at EPCOT or cocktail parties inside Hollywood Studios.

I hope this gives you some ideas of what may be available to you.  For smaller events, you might also be able to book one of the Wishes Fireworks cruises or Illuminations cruises.  If you want to send me another message with the size of the party, I might even be able to come up with some other options for you!

I hope the vacation - and the birthday - are absolutely fabulous!
