Hello! We are thinking about going to WDW the weekend of the Wine and Dine races this fall. Will the parks still be decorated for fall that last weekend? October 31 - November 3? How soon do they start decorating for Christmas?

    Hi Laura!

Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The dates you have brought up are actually the exact trip I took in 2017 for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend and one of the last Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties!

For the vast majority of Walt Disney World Resort, you will find that Halloween and fall decor is taken down in the early wee hours first thing November 1st. The exception to this rule is within Magic Kingdom, as a Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is hosted the evening of November 1st. For this park specifically, you'll find that when you arrive on November 2nd that the fall decor is down and you'll begin to see touches of Christmas cheer! The full Christmas decor won't be completed throughout Walt Disney World Resort until the second week of November, but you'll see it become increasingly apparent from November 1st on!

I think this is the perfect time to visit because you are able to enjoy the Halloween festivities, a runDisney event and begin to see Christmas too! I'm personally considering this time frame again for 2019! I hope this helps in planning your upcoming runcation. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
