Hello, we are staying at Old Key West. According to given information, check-in will be at 4.00 pm. Can we do the check-in earlier to get our Magic Bands and leave our luggage at the baggage room of the hotel? Thanks Christine

    Hello Christine!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Disney’s Old Key West Resort is one of my family’s favorite resorts. We just love the laid back atmosphere, large and spacious rooms, and some of the best Cast Members in all of Walt Disney World. Make sure to leave yourself time to sit by the pool, grab a drink from the Gurgling Suitcase, or a snack from Good’s Food to Go!

One of the many reasons we enjoy vacationing at Walt Disney World is that they really do make traveling as easy as possible. Even though official check-in isn’t until 4 pm, you can still enjoy your arrival day. First, I recommend doing Online Resort Check-in from home a few weeks before arrival. When doing online check-in, you’ll be able to let the resort know your anticipated arrival time. While you are not guaranteed that your room will be ready until after 4 pm, I find that by doing online check-in, maybe half of the time, my room is ready sooner. Perhaps you’ll get lucky!

Even if your room is not ready early, stopping by the Front Desk upon arrival is the way to go. You will be given your MagicBands, and you’ll be ready to start the magic! Bell Services will be happy to store your luggage for you. Once your room is ready, Bell Services will take you and your luggage to your resort room.

While you wait for your room, you can hit the pool, head to one of the theme parks, or take the boat from Disney’s Old Key West Resort to Disney Springs. There you’ll find world-class shopping and dining. It’s the perfect place to start your Walt Disney World vacation!

I hope this helps with your planning, Christine! Please let us know if we can help you with any additional questions as you plan your visit.

    Have a Magical Day!
