Hello, We will be staying at the Grand Californian in February and I was wondering if our packages can be sent back to the hotel? I was told this service may no longer be available. Thank you

Welcome back to planDisney, Michele! Your magical adventure is almost here! My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Californian several times, and each visit feels like a warm embrace of rustic elegance. The convenience of being steps away from the parks makes it even more enchanting!

I spoke with a friendly Cast Member and, unfortunately, confirmed that the package delivery service to Disneyland Resort Hotels is no longer available. I know this might not be the news you were hoping for, but I have an alternative! During your park visit, you can take advantage of the complimentary merchandise hold service available at select retail locations. This allows you to shop till you drop without having to carry everything around. The Disneyland website has a complete list of participating shops. Just bring your purchases and receipts to one of them, and your items will be safely stored until the park closes. It’s a fantastic way to keep your hands free for clapping, waving, and, of course, holding on tight while riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!

If you’re staying at the Grand Californian, Michele, I want to highlight one of the wonderful perks of staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel: Early Entry! As a hotel guest, you’ll have the chance to enter one of the theme parks 30 minutes before it officially opens each day of your stay. Be sure to check the Disneyland website to see which park is offering Early Entry during your visit. And as a reminder: the Grand Californian has its own entrance to Disney California Adventure, conveniently located near Napa Rose. Arriving a little early will help you make the most of this exclusive perk!

Here’s a Q-Tip for you: if your Early Entry takes you to Disneyland Park, consider starting your day in Fantasyland. Those attractions tend to have shorter wait times in the early morning, and it’s such a whimsical way to begin your Disney day! My family once managed to enjoy nearly all the Fantasyland classics (excluding Peter Pan’s Flight) before the official park opening. It was an amazing way to start our Disneyland adventures.

Michele, if you have any other questions as you plan your upcoming visit, we’d be delighted to assist you again here at planDisney. We can’t wait to help make your trip as magical as possible!

    Have a magical day!
