Hi Lacey!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! This is a great question because some of the ways many of us are used to doing things have indeed changed. It used to be that if you had a ticket with the
Park Hopper Option or
Walt Disney World Annual Pass, you could stroll through Epcot and then take the
Monorail. But you are correct, with the need for Park Pass Reservations, this method will not work on a day you have a
Park Pass Reservation for Magic Kingdom.
For a
Magic Kingdom start to your day, you will need to take the bus from Disney’s Beach Club to Magic Kingdom. After you have entered Magic Kingdom with your Park Pass Reservation for the day, if it is after 2 PM and you have the Park Hopper Option on your ticket, walking through
Epcot would be an option. You do not need to make a second Park Pass Reservation for parks you plan to visit in the afternoon. While it might not be your family’s traditional way to start your day at Magic Kingdom, if you returned to the resort for an afternoon break and went back to Magic Kingdom for the evening, you would be able to enjoy your usual walk.
I hope you enjoy your upcoming visit, Lacey. Please let us know if you have any additional questions before your visit!
