Hello, We are planning a summer vacation for our family of 9 with kids ranging from 1 to 18. We've talked to a travel agent & done research but are still indecisive about going to Walt Disney World or Aulani as both look great. Any advice?

    Hello Merle!

This predicament is one my husband and I discuss frequently! I am a Walt Disney World girl through and through. My husband however, grew up in the tropics, and he has fond memories of his family’s vacations in Hawaii. Both Walt Disney World and Aualni, A Disney Resort & Spa offer an amazing variety of activities for the entire family! I would take into consideration whether you’d like an on-the-go vacation, or one that is more subdued.

Do you enjoy vacations with lots of activities and action? This describes my vacation style! In this case, I think a Walt Disney World Vacation would be the perfect choice. With attractions and shows designed to delight children and adults of all ages, you’ll find plenty of adventures for everyone. Leave your cares behind as you skip down Main Street, U.S.A., dine with Mickey and Friends, or fly over London with Peter Pan. By choosing a Deluxe Villa Resort, you can even all stay together in a beautiful 2 Bedroom Villa. Consider Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas for an exotic atmosphere and animals right outside your balcony. Or Disney’s Bay Lake Tower for a quick walk to the Magic Kingdom.

Do you prefer a more laid back vibe? If you are looking for time to unwind and unplug, I would recommend Aulani. There are still many activities to fill your day, and excursions if you wish to adventure away from the resort, but you’ll have the chance to “hang loose” at a slower pace. Aulani also offers beautiful 2 Bedroom Villas to accommodate your entire ‘ohana, so there is room for everyone. Don’t forget the amazing benefit that is Auntie’s Beach House. Children ages 3 to 12 can enjoy activities and fun, while mom and dad get a little grown up time. It’s all included with your stay!

You really are choosing between two amazing options, whichever you decide upon, I think you are sure to have an unforgettable Disney vacation!
