    Hello! We are DVC members and our home is AK. We will be staying at AK Jambo house using our DVC points and I just wanted to make sure that even though we are staying at Jambo, we can still use Kidani's pool bc it is a DVC pool? Thank you!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! If you are a Member staying on points at Jambo House, you should be able to use the pool at Kidani Village, since they are both considered to be part of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas. This is not because of the Disney Vacation Club Pool Hopping perk however, as the pools at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas are excluded from this perk.  

    The DVC Pool Hopping perk can be a lot of fun, and allows Members to explore many of the other fabulous pools at Walt Disney World. It does have exclusions however,  such as specific resort pools and dates. Currently, this perk excludes Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Uzima Pool and Samawati Springs Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, the leisure pool at Disney's Beach Club Villas, the Lava Pool and leisure pool at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and the pools at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.

    There are also certain dates that are excluded from pool hopping. These are usually over major holidays where pools are often near or at capacity. Upcoming dates that are excluded from pool hopping are November 22 - 29, 2015, and December 19, 2015 through January 3, 2016. 

    If you do decide to pool hop to any other resorts, even within Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, always be sure to bring your Magic Bands and your Disney Vacation Club Membership Card. You are also recommended to check with the front desk before your visit, to be sure the pool is not at capacity that day.
