Hello We are coming to Port Orleans in August and wondered what bed options are available for our 3 year old as we think he will be to tall for a pack and play. Does this report offer z-bed options in the room or do we need to bring something suitable.

Hello there, and welcome to planDisney!

Looks like you've got a lovely summer vacation planned at Walt Disney World resort. How exciting! Bringing a 3 year old to Disney is such a wonderful experience... I miss visiting with my kiddos when they were younger. There's nothing quite like seeing those beloved stories and characters come to life through their young eyes. You're in for such a magical time!

Let's talk about a safe sleeping arrangement for your toddler. Although your Disney Resort does not have z-beds available, there are some other options for you. If you are thinking a pack and play may be too restricting, you can also request some bed rails. These slip under the edge of your mattress and provide a barrier so your little one doesn't roll out of bed. You can call ahead to Disney Resort Reservations and have a note added to your hotel booking, or just ask at Guest Services once you arrive. Supply is limited, so it may be a good idea to call ahead. A Cast Member can deliver them to your room, and help set them up.

Some rooms at Disney Port Orleans Resort sleep 5, and have a child-sized pull down bed. These are adorable spaces, and may work well for you. They rest against the wall on one side, and seem a little closer to the ground. These cozy spots also feature special, hidden artwork. Your little prince may cuddle up in this nook and quickly claim it for himself!

I'm so excited you'll be visiting during an excellent time to take advantage of the 2025 Splashtastic perk for Disney Resort guests ~ free admission to a Disney Water Park on arrival day! I hope this works into your plans, as both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have fun play areas for preschoolers.

One last tip before I go! Take a look at some of the character dining options you can reserve 60 days in advance. These are perfect opportunities for your child to meet some beloved characters in a highly interactive and enjoyable way. Character dining experiences have been some of my family's favorite Disney vacation memories!

Have a wonderful trip to Walt Disney World! Please send me a message if I can help answer any additional questions. I love to help guests make magical memories!

    Sending pixie dust to you,
    Tami
