Welcome to planDisney, Laura, and thanks for this great question. Keeping our little princes and princesses safe is a top priority, so I understand why you want to plan ahead. Since you'll be arriving at
Walt Disney World Resort soon, let's look at some safety options for your visit.
First visits are the BEST! Remember to grab complimentary celebration buttons at the front desk or
Guest Relations at the theme parks. These make great keepsakes, and I always add dates to my special buttons. A bonus tip is to take your buttons to
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at Magic Kingdom Park to have a more durable name and date painted on for a small fee.
I chatted with a helpful Cast Member who said you can request items such as step stools and non-slip bath mats from "Mousekeeping" once you know your room number. Items are subject to availability, and I also suggest asking what other toddler-friendly pieces they offer. We used to ask for bed rails, for example.
When my son was young,
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort was one of his favorites. I love this resort's larger-than-life theming and bustling vibe; my son couldn't get enough of the
Fantasia Pool! And they offer complimentary life vests for all ages. The recent refurbishment gave these rooms many practical updates, such as under-bed storage and charging ports for your devices. I think you're going to have a fabulous time!
Laura, I hope your upcoming vacation is full of non-slip magic! Please stop by
planDisney for tips and advice anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
