Bonjour Ludivine,
Welcome back to planDisney! How exciting to have your first Disney Cruise Line vacation planned with your friends! You will have a wonderful time exploring the majestic landscape surrounding you at every turn.
I'm not exactly sure which day of your cruise you plan to book an excursion, so I'll offer some advice that could apply to any day and we can go from there. The exact disembarkation time will vary based on the port. That time may even differ from what might be listed on your itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather. So, I would always err on booking a Port Adventure later, leaving plenty of time to return to the ship for the "all aboard."
While it is over a year away, I can tell you that your cruise is currently scheduled to have the following "Guests Ashore" times so you can have a general idea:
- Day 4 - Skagway 7:15 a.m.
- Day 5 - Juneau 6:45 a.m.
- Day 6 - Sitka 9:00 a.m.
- Day 7 - Ketchikan 9:15 a.m.
- Day 9 - Vancouver 8:00 a.m.
Remember, these times are subject to change and are only meant as a general reference so you can see that the scheduled disembarkation times vary by port.
Now, though this is your first Disney cruise, you could still book
Port Adventures directly from Disney Cruise Line once
your booking window opens, 75 days prior to your sail date. Booking through Disney Cruise Line will alleviate worry about getting to your destination or the ship on time. I suggest reviewing the Port Adventures offered for your cruise and selecting multiple options in case your first choice is booked when your booking window opens. Of course, you can choose to book other excursions offered by local companies. I would review their cancelation policies and inquire as to how they handle late arrivals. I'm sure you will find the best options for you and your crew.
One of the wonderful things about a Disney cruise is that you don't have to leave the ship to have a good time! On an Alaskan cruise, there is so much beauty to see from the pool deck. There is nothing like grabbing a snuggly blanket and hot chocolate (both complimentary) and taking in the beautiful sites. Aboard
Disney Wonder, you can enjoy dinner at one of my favorite
Rotational Dining locations,
Tiana's Place. The food and entertainment here is top-notch!
I'm so excited for you and your friends, Ludivine! We are here to help, so let us know if you have other questions as you plan.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
