Hello! Thinking of staying on the Disney World resort for 1st time ~ Dec 20th-23rd. Could you advise good accomodation <$400/night for family of 4? Kids 15 and 13, reasonable proximity to Epcot.

    Hello Tejinder, welcome to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hEAR that you're contemplating a magical stay at one of the many fabulous Disney Resorts Collection hotels!  I personally feel like staying on Disney property is the perfect way to bring "Hakuna Matata" to life - it means no worries! When you stay on property you'll constantly feel surrounded by the magic of the Resort AND you'll receive other incredible benefits like close proximity to all four Theme Parks, extra time in the Parks reserved just for Resort Guests with Early Theme Park Entry, and complimentary transportation all over the more the 40 square miles of the Resort.

The holiday season is joyful no matter where you spend it, but there's just something extra special about seeing the snow fall on Main Street U.S.A., or your favorite character pals dressed in their holiday best.  When planning an extra-special holiday vacation you know your family will enjoy the details in each and every immersive Resort property, but a few come to mind when thinking about your family, your budget and the vacation dates you have in mind.

I checked on the Walt Disney World Resort website and found that two of my favorite Resorts, Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort both have availability during the dates of your trip.  While these are not within walking distance of EPCOT, you're just minutes away from the iconic Park when you hop aboard a gondola and fly across the sky in the Disney Skyliner.  Both Resorts currently have rooms within your price range and offer amazing dining options and pools.  Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is also a great choice that has available rooms during your stay.  The best thing about this Resort is that you can request a "5th Sleeper" room, which includes a child-size pull-down bed, so (if your children are anything like mine!) you won't have to worry about your kids complaining about having to share a sleeping space!

When you're ready to start booking your Guest room reservation just head to the Walt Disney World Resort website and click on "Places to Stay".  Here, you'll be able to browse through my suggestions and maybe even find a Resort that better suits your needs and budget.  You'll be able to see your Resort's average nightly rate and even purchase a vacation package with Theme Park Tickets included. Just follow the prompts after selecting your Disney Resort Collection hotel.

You know where to find all the planning help you need as you continue booking your magical vacation!

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
