Ahoy there, Madi,
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting to plan a Disney Cruise Line vacation with a group. That's my favorite way to cruise––the more, the merrier!
Selecting a stateroom with your cruise group is part of the fun. If nearby staterooms are important to your group, I recommend not choosing the "guaranteed" stateroom category. While you are guaranteed a stateroom, it does not guarantee a location. These rooms will be selected for you as the cruise approaches based on available space. There is no guarantee that rooms will be close, they could be on different decks. Now, there is a chance the stateroom you are assigned could be an upgrade to the category you selected, but this isn't always the case. So if you have your heart set on a
stateroom category or want to be near the rest of your crew, I recommend
selecting a stateroom in that category when you make your reservation.
Madi, no matter which category you choose, I recommend linking your reservations so that your group's
Rotational Dining times are in sync. It will also help when reserving onboard activities or Port Adventures. For multiple rooms,
call Disney Cruise Line and ask a reservation specialist to link your reservations for you; they will be happy to help!
I hope this information assists you in your planning, Madi. Please let us know if you have other questions. We are "all hands on deck" when it comes to helping other Guests!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
