Hello..one more question! :) I booked a garden view room at the Beach Club. Should I request a certain room or floor to ensure a better view or easier access to the pools? Thanks Momspanel!

    Hi Melissa,

The Beach Club is a relatively small resort. There are no rooms that are super far away from the pools or other resort amenities. You could save yourself a few moments of time if you requested a ground-floor room, because you wouldn't have to wait for an elevator.

The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World recommends Beach Club rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors because of the possibility of a few of the Epcot fireworks from your room. The rooms that have this possibility are 3512-3536 and 4578-4598. These rooms also face green areas or woods rather than the less desirable parking lot view.

When making any sort of room request, you should do so several times: first when you make the reservation, then you should call your resort directly about three days before your arrival to confirm, and again in the notes with your online check-in. You should NOT wait until you arrive to make a request. My friend Bret does a great job of explaining exactly how to have the best chance of having a room request honored. You may also want to head over to the independent website blog.touringplans.com and search there for an article called "The Art of the Disney World Room Request."

    Good luck!
