    Hello! My husband and I would love to do the castaway cay 5k. We have a 3 yr old and 20 month old; are jogging strollers available? Would we be able to do the race with the kids in the strolers?Or what are childcare options available so we can do the run

    Welcome aboard, Julie! The runDisney Castaway Cay 5K fun run is a nice way to start your day on Disney's private island!

    There are usually a limited amount of jogging-type strollers available on Castaway Cay on a first-come, first served basis. Runners normally meet on the ship to receive their bib numbers and walk off as a group. You'll walk near the stroller spot on your way to the starting line, so you can grab one or two on your way.

    If your three year old would like to join new friends and the counselors from the ship at the island's youth club for ages three to 12, Scuttle's Cove, you may have enough time to walk off with the group, quickly drop your child off at Scuttle's Cove and still make it to the finish line just in time or just after the start. It really depends on how long it takes to get off the ship and if Scutttle's Cove is open by the time you arrive near the starting line. I know many guests have had good luck in that it took a bit longer getting off the ship as a group, so they had enough time to drop off their children before getting to the starting line because the club was open by then. However, sometimes the runners make if off quickly and you may find that the club is not open just yet, as the runners are usually some of the very first ones off the ship. I wish I could tell you for sure, but it varies.

    Your best bet is to hope to get two of the strollers available on the island to take the kids with you. Chat with the Cast Members on the ship as you meet up for the run that morning, and they can give you some good suggestions and more details as well.
