Hello, My family and I will be staying at the Pixar Place Hotel in about a week. I was wondering if while the pool is closed, will there be a hot tub open? Or will that be closed too?

    Hi Megan,

Welcome to planDisney! You are going to love staying in the magic at Pixar Place this week. There is nothing better than strolling home after a long park day and waking up in the Disney bubble!

You are correct that the pool deck at Pixar Place is currently undergoing a refurbishment. I know this won't be the news you were hoping to hear, but during this time, the pools and hot tub are both closed. The good news is that Guests of Pixar Place have access to the pools and hot tubs at the Disneyland Hotel. A Cast Member also let us know that there is currently a shuttle running between the two hotels to make things a bit easier for Guests hoping to use the pool. I recommend checking-in with a Cast Member when you arrive to get more details about the shuttle and timings.

While I know it's not quite the same as being able to hop in your suit and hit the pool at your own hotel, I do have to say that spending time at the Disneyland Hotel has its pixie-dusted perks! Beyond all the history and nostalgia built into every corner (definitely spend some time checking out the photos in the lobby!), it's the only place to grab DOLE Whip outside of the parks ... and have you seen that Monorail Slide? I promise it's just as much fun for adults as it is for kids! Even when I'm not staying there, I have often taken a break from the parks to grab lunch at Tangaroa Terrace which is one of the best quick service offerings on property with its Polynesian-inspired dishes. The entire pool area truly feels like an oasis from the park hustle and bustle. I think you're going to love it!

I'm wishing you a very magical visit, Megan! We're always here at planDisney if you have any questions or need a quick tip or two. When you check in be sure to ask for an updated list of resort activities. You never know what kind of surprises you might find right at your hotel. In fact, for a limited time, Pixar Putt has set up a pop-up mini golf course at Pixar Place inspired by the stories and characters you know and love!

    Have the best time!
