Hello! My 180 day is in 5 days, and I need help. Can you please let me know if Jaleo will be accepting Dining Credits? If so,since they don’t offer dessert ,will they allow apps instead? I will happily pay out of pocket, but it will affect my other choices.

Hi, Emilia! I'm so sorry for not seeing your question sooner, as it looks like you'll be making your Dining Reservations today or tomorrow. Hopefully, my answer finds it's way to you in time!

Jaleo by José Andrés opened for dinner on the West Side at Disney Springs this week. I just listened to a podcast review of this restaurant which features Spanish cuisine, and my mouth was watering- they had me at sangria and paella! I'm happy to announce that Jaleo accepts the Disney Dining Plan, and it's a Signature Restaurant, so you will use two Table Service Entitlements when dining here.

The menu (which is not posted on the Walt Disney World website yet, but can be found with a Google search) features an extensive list of tapas reflecting the regional diversity of Spain. Unless you're on the Deluxe Dining Plan, the tapas are considered an appetizer, so you would have to pay out of pocket for these items. However, don't let that dissuade you from ordering the Pan de Cristal con Tomate, the Jamón Iberico, or Croquetas de Pollo- these were the reviewers' favorites, but it sounded like everything on the tapas menu was delicious. The entree selections include many varieties of paella, such as Arroz de Pollo y Setas Silvestres which has ingredients such as chicken and mushrooms. I also can't wait to try the Gambas Frescas al Ajillo Como en Zahara, which is a shrimp dish that is prepared table-side. There are actually five items on the dessert list- the Pan con Chocolate and a cheesecake called Quesada Asturiana were both highly recommended. Ask your server if substitutions can be made if you'd rather not have dessert- these things vary by restaurant.

Buen provecho (have a great meal), Emilia!
