Hi there, Shanna!
I'm have a feeling you are going to have the most amazing and magical time at
Disney After Hours in late January! I've not been able to experience this event yet, but from what I've heard, it sounds absolutely spectacular! I always love spending nights at Magic Kingdom so being able to enjoy attractions, Characters and some delicious treats with little crowds sounds practically perfect.
Shanna, when this event was offered previously, Guests were able to enter Magic Kingdom as early as 7:00 p.m. This would give you time to eat before the official start of the event. Since select ice cream treats, popcorn and bottled drinks are included, you may want to eat at a dining venue along the monorail to maximize your time in the park. There are quick-service options available at all three Resort hotels along the monorail including my personal favorite Capt. Cook's at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Other great options include Kona Café also at Disney's Polynesian Resort or maybe a fun Character experience at 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. You may even want to kick off the night at Disney's Contemporary Resort, which will allow you to walk over to Magic Kingdom once you're done dining. California Grill, Chef Mickey's (another Character meal option) and The Wave all offer dinner only a few steps away from the entrance to Magic Kingdom. I also enjoy the quick-service venue, Contempo Café, located here. I highly recommend Advanced Dining Reservations if you decide on a Table-Service option.
Have fun making your plans for your night at Magic Kingdom, Shanna. If you have any other questions, please let us know. We always love to help!
