Hello, Is there an easy way to find out when to plan a trip to get into a specific room class? We are flexible and have 3 kids (4,3,6mo) and would like to be in 2 room deluxe villa for 5 nights in January or February.

    Hello Andrew!

Welcome to planDisney! As a mother of four, I can’t tell you enough how amazing the Deluxe Villa Accommodations are at Disney! We are Disney Vacation Club Members and almost exclusively stay in the villas. You will love the home-like amenities and extra space. I have said before that staying in a 1-Bedroom or larger villa will be the best money you ever spend on a door, the door between you and the children! Being able to put the children to bed in another room while we stay up to relax and watch television or have a glass of wine on the balcony is worth every penny.

Andrew, I would look at the end of January, after Martin Luther King Jr. Day, through the first week or two of February for both the greatest availability and value. You can book these villas now at select resorts. Both Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, and Disney’s Riviera Resort have 2-Bedroom Villas available for booking during that time. Typically, you would see more villas available, but due to the improving pandemic, there is a high demand for travel and an increase in the number of Disney Vacation Club Members using their Vacation Points to book rooms at Walt Disney World. Because Members were not able to use their Vacation Points during the shutdown, or use them to book Disney Cruise Line or international travel, villa availability is now quite tight. Typically villas become available to the public 9 to 10 months in advance. If you don’t see the 2-Bedroom you are looking for, I would consider booking what is available and check back every so often to see if another resort opens up. You can always change your reservation in the future.

Disney’s Riviera Resort is the newest resort on property, and it is gorgeous! You’ll find beautifully appointed rooms, fun European-inspired Disney art, and a fabulous location along the Disney Skyliner! Hop the Disney Skyliner to make a quick trip to Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios, wave to Mickey and friends while you enjoy a Character Breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, or return there in the evening for cocktails, dinner, and stunning sunset views. There is so much to enjoy at this resort.

If shopping and dining is your thing, you can’t get any closer to Disney Springs than Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. This resort has a quieter feel, with beautiful gardens, two feature pools, and a walking bridge to connect the resort to Disney Springs. Stroll over for a morning coffee, pick out the perfect Disney souvenir at World of Disney, or enjoy a meal at one of the many dining options.

Andrew, the demand for travel is way up, so I would encourage you not to wait too long to book. As I mentioned, you can always rebook a different room if something else becomes available. Please let us know what additional questions you have as you plan your family vacation, we love talking Disney and are here to help!
