Hi Amy,
Welcome to planDisney! It sounds to me like you are taking charge of your family's incredible Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I know it is going to be amazing. They are lucky to have you!
I'm going to be sharing several steps with you, Amy. Since, "In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun," be sure to grab your favorite warm beverage, drape a fuzzy blanket over your lap, and play your favorite Disney music playlist as you work! It makes everything feel more magical.
When the other Guests in your crew purchase their
Disney Military Salute theme park tickets from a participating US Military sales outlet, they will be given a voucher that they will "Activate" as a ticket at a
Guest Relations window when they arrive. Hakuna Matata, Amy, because once you find the ID Number on the back of the voucher, you can
link it to your My Disney Experience account just like any other
Disney theme park ticket.
Each Guest in your family will need to have their own
My Disney Experience account. This is how
Disney Resort hotel reservations, Disney theme park tickets,
Advance Dining Reservations,
Disney PhotoPass images, and more are organized by person. You can decide if it is easier for you to manage all of them from your account or if everyone should establish credentials and you can connect as, "My Family and Friends" to share plans. For example, I manage the accounts of my children, my parents, and one sister. Everyone else who travels with us simply shares their plans with me.
If your family members manage their own My Disney Experience Accounts, connect with them! Simply open the My Disney Experience Mobile App, tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner, scroll down to "My Profile," and select the blue "Family & Friends List" located in the top-right corner, above your name and profile image. Next, scroll down to "Add a Guest." You can opt to locate them through connected Guests, Scan or manually enter a linking code, or enter their name and age.
When I am creating a My Disney Account that I will manage for someone, I find it easier to work on the computer. Once logged in, select, "My Family and Friends." Click on the blue, "Add a new Guest who doesn't have a Disney account" and follow the prompts.
I know that sounds like quite a bit, Amy, but I promise that it all makes sense as you go through it. Once you are all linked, then planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be a breeze!
I hope that's helpful! Come on back with any other questions. We are here for you!
Adventure is out there,
Sally
