Hello! I’ll be staying at Coronado Springs and my daughter’s family will be at The Swan Reserve. The map shows they are just a mile apart. Would it be safe (traffic wise) to walk from one to the other?

Hello, Martha! Welcome to planDisney. How fantastic that you and your daughter’s family are staying so close to one another during your trip to Walt Disney World!

Martha, while Coronado Springs and The Swan Reserve are just about a mile apart, walking between the two resorts is not the most ideal option for safety, especially when it comes to traffic. The area surrounding these resorts can be pretty busy, and there's limited pedestrian-friendly paths for the full walk. But as Timon and Pumbaa would say: “Hakuna Matata,” no worries. Disney Transportation has you covered!

I checked the My Disney Experience app, and the recommended directions take you from Coronado Springs via bus to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. From there, you can either take a scenic boat ride to the Swan/Dolphin area or switch buses to the Swan Reserve.

Another option is using a ride-sharing service like Lyft or Uber for a quick and easy journey, or my personal favorite, Disney’s Minnie Van service so you can ride in Minnie style!

I hope you cherish every magical moment with your family, and remember, the journey is always more fun when its sprinkled with a little pixie dust! If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to stop by. We’re always here to help you “drive” your way through the magic!
