Hello, If we are staying at the Yacht Club Resort, how long will it take us in the morning to travel to Magic Kingdom and Epcot? Also, what is the earliest time the transportation leaves for each park?

    Hi Amanda,

The Yacht Club is a fabulous resort - one of my favorites!

A huge benefit to staying at the Yacht Club is its close proximity to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. There is a boat that travels from the YC to both these parks, but by far the best way to get from the Yacht Club to Epcot is to walk.

The walk from the Yacht Club to Epcot takes about 7-9 minutes for a healthy adult. The path is paved and well marked. The YC has access to the back International Gateway entrance to Epcot. This entrance has the same hours as the main gate at the front of the park, so you can use it whenever the park is open.

To get from the Yacht Club to the Magic Kingdom, you'll need to take a bus. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes, plus you should add about 10-15 minutes to wait for the bus in case it doesn't arrive right away. The buses typically start running about an hour prior to the earliest stated park opening time. For example, my daughter was at WDW last week when the MK opened for early Extra Magic Hours at 7:00am. She was able to get a bus there from Beach Club (the Yacht's twin) at 6:15am. There are also buses to take guests to early character meals that may start before this. The bus timing is seasonal and does change from time to time, my best advice is to stop by the concierge desk at the hotel to confirm everything.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
