Hello, If it rains on a day the of Mickey's not so scary Halloween party. Will they still have it? Thank you.

Hi Amy! Welcome back to planDisney!

I bet you and your family are getting so excited and ready for a spooktacular time at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Do you already have your costumes picked out and ready to go?! Bring your sweet tooth and get ready for some tricks and treats that your family will remember forever!

While rain can put a damper on sunny days that doesn't mean the fun needs to stop at Walt Disney World Resort. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party happens rain or shine, but I promise you'll have a great time either way! We've certainly been in our fair share of rainstorms and downpours while visiting the Resort but I have to say that some of my favorite memories (and the ones that make me laugh the hardest) are of sloshing through the puddles with my little crew.

I would encourage you to prepare for rain in case it happens by packing rain ponchos, wearing water-friendly footwear, and bringing a stroller cover if you have little ones.  Usually, Central Florida storms leave as quickly as they come, so while some shows and parades like Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular and Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade may be delayed, they hopefully won't be canceled entirely even if it rains at some point.  You can also spend rainy periods visiting some of your favorite indoor attractions. You'll find that lines tend to be MUCH shorter during special events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so duck inside to visit some ghosts in the Haunted Mansion while you wait out the storm.

If the weather pattern on your Party day is looking cloudy I would definitely suggest taking advantage of getting to the Parks as early as possible.  While the Halloween Party itself doesn't begin until 7 p.m. Guests with special event tickets are welcome to enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. on Party day! Jump in on the fun a little early and get as much done as you can while the skies are still blue.

Hopefully, you won't need any of this advice and all your Disney days will be sunny, but if not, enjoy the showers!!  Have an awesome trip!
