Greetings from a fellow Floridian, Jocelyn! It's good to see you again at planDisney. Your Walt Disney World Resort visit is fast approaching. Since you're in your
booking window to make dining reservations, let's talk about your options to eat!
It sounds like you've booked a vacation package; in that case, all members linked to your theme park tickets and Disney Resort Hotel stay must be on the same dining plan. You can check out the
Disney Dining Plan or the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan to see which one best meets your family's needs.
For guests with limited food options, I suggest reaching out to the
Special Dietary Requests team a couple of weeks before you arrive. They can make recommendations to help everyone have a full tummy! My immediate family members are all vegetarians, and we've found that most restaurants offer options for us, some on the menu and others that can be modified.
Your servers will be your best friends, so be sure to let them know your dietary restrictions up front. And the chef will often visit your table for details about your needs. We feel like VIPS when that happens!
Whether or not you opt for a dining plan, you can preview
online menus to help you choose restaurants with options for your pals. Typically, you can scroll down near the bottom of the menus to see allergy-friendly selections.
I've found that locations offering family-style fare almost always provide a
plant-based alternative. These are typically allergy-friendly, too. One of our favorites is
Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Just remember to freeze if Andy comes along!
Jocelyn, I hope you make a plate full of magical memories on this trip. Disney experiences sparkle a little brighter when I look back on mine. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
