Hi, Sharon! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for sharing your question with us! Having a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass has proven to be quite handy in the past few years. My husband laughs at the number of "excuses" I can find for using it. "Oooh! The
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is coming up! Let's put that Annual Pass to work and go see the new
Eat to the Beat acts!" "Oooh! Let's use the Annual Passholder discount to go check out the new
Gran Destino Tower!" Several years ago, I used the "let's fit one more trip in one these Annual Passes before they expire," reasoning. Well, I ended up renewing that pass, so he has not let me use that excuse again!
Sharon, I checked with one of the Annual Pass Cast Members to confirm for you that you just need to be an active Annual Passholder upon check-in at your Disney Resort Hotel to use the
exclusive room discount. Since your pass does not expire for several days after that, you should be fine. Since your Annual Pass theme park admissions will no longer be valid, this will give you some time to explore more of your resort's amenities! Considering the time of year plan to visit, you could check out Magic Kingdom Park's seasonal events - Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
If you find that you are just having too much fun, be sure to stop by any theme park ticket window or the
Disney Ticket Center in Disney Springs to check out the renewal price on your Annual Pass. Now more than ever, it's a great time to renew that pass and continue the magic for another year! Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
