Hi, Alexandra! Welcome to
planDisney.
Friend, let's talk about crazy prices. We travel as a group of at least nine, with kids, grandkids, and kids-in-law, so I know the sticker shock of buying
Walt Disney World theme
park tickets for that many people. It's hard to find discounted tickets, but my first suggestion is to look for
Special Offers, Deals, and Discounts. It's a starting point, but you need your passes fairly soon, so let's see what else we can find.
AAA has different regions, and some regions do sell discounted tickets. If anyone in your party is a AAA member, have them call and find out if their region has these tickets. There are also large companies - especially those with sponsorships at Walt Disney World - that may offer discounts. It can't hurt to check with your HR department to see if they offer a deal.
Another option is to purchase discounted Disney gift cards. Sometimes, you'll find discounted gift cards at warehouse clubs, sold in bundles of three or four. Another chain store has its own "red card" credit and debit card that gives you 5% off when you buy Disney gift cards. You can buy them in-store or online. The cards can then be used to purchase the tickets, which means you ultimately get 5% off of the tickets.
You may find a few reputable ticket brokers locally that offer minimal discounts, however, I encourage you to use tremendous caution when using them. Also, keep in mind that you have to make a
theme park reservation, which is best done in advance.
I hope you have a wonderful visit, Alexandra!
Anna
