Hello. I will be staying at the Port Orleans - Riverside in a few months, and while the food there seems amazing, I prefer home-cooked meals. I was wondering if it was okay to bring my own meals that need to be warmed up?

    Hiya Jonathan!

Welcome to planDisney; we're glad you stopped by with your question for us.

You're going to love staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside! I hope you take a moment to stroll the grounds, as the stunning scenic views have beautiful pathways and gardens. I am so excited for you to experience the magic of your Disney Resort hotel!

Jonathan, you are absolutely fine to bring your own meals from home. You'll be happy to know that you're welcome to use the microwave at Riverside Mill Food Court to heat up your food.

Did you know Guests are allowed to bring outside food into the theme parks for self-consumption, too? Along with nonalcoholic beverage items, you're welcome to bring your own meals into the theme parks, as long as the meals are not in glass containers and do not require heating and reheating at the parks. If you'd like to read more about the items you can/cannot bring, here's the Walt Disney World Resort Rules page.

If you have any Special Dietary Requests, Walt Disney World Resort is terrific about making accommodations at table-service restaurants and select quick-service restaurants. These could include food allergies, food intolerances, medically restricted diets, and kosher and halal meals. I like to look through the menus before arriving to plan ahead.

Wishing you an enchanting visit, Jonathan!
