Hiya, Margarita, and welcome to planDisney! I'm a fellow Floridian and an Annual Passholder, so we have lots in common. Let's talk about the benefits and discounts you can use for your next
Walt Disney World Resort visit.
I experimented online and tried to book dates at a
Disney Resort Hotel when my Disney Pixie Dust Pass was blocked, and the system would let me choose the current
Annual Passholder rate on the booking screen. I also have the option to select any current discounts for
Florida Residents, so I like to toggle between the two for the best deal.
As tempting as it was, I didn't complete the booking, so I contacted a Cast Member for confirmation. She said that when you sign into your My Disney Experience account, the system recognizes that you're an Annual Passholder, but it doesn't consider your pass level. So blockout dates don't come into play when you book your resort stay. The room discount will apply, but remember you won't be able to enter the parks on your blocked dates.
The Cast Member also pointed out that you won't get free parking at the theme parks on blockout dates, but if you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, your parking will be included if you decide to purchase a
theme park ticket.
Your tentative arrival is later next year, so I suggest you watch the
Special Offers page for any passholder or resident discounts throughout the year. The
Disney Parks Blog is another great place to get the latest news and announcements. I'm sprinkling pixie dust so you'll find the perfect deal!
Margarita, I hope I've helped you on your planning journey. And here's to a magical 2024 with lots of Disney included. Stop by
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
