Hi Suzanne,
Welcome aboard planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question. You must be excited to sail away soon, so let's get you the information you need.
I know that stateroom charges can be confusing, but never fear! I confirmed with a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member that your onboard credit will be charged first, followed by the credit card you have on file. You can stop by Guest Services when you board if you need to update your payment information.
Also, keep in mind the following:
- Charges for activities, such as Port Adventures, specialty dining, and onboard activities will be posted to your account on the day the activity occurs, not the first day of the cruise.
- If your cruise is five nights or less, once you have $300 (USD) of expenses, your method of payment will be charged.
- If your cruise is six to nine nights, once you have $500 (USD) of expenses, your method of payment will be charged.
- Gratuities for your stateroom host and rotational dining service team (whether pre-paid or automatic) will appear on your stateroom account on the last day of your cruise. Gratuities for other activities will appear on the day of the event.
I love the convenience of using my
DisneyBand+ and
Key to the World card to make purchases onboard so I don't have to carry my wallet with me. It makes purchases so simple! If you are like me and want to keep track of your onboard account activity, you can view your folio in the
Disney Crusie Line Navigator app. Simply select the More (☰) menu on the lower right-hand side of the app and select Cruise Folio.
I hope this information makes for smooth sailing for you, Suzanne. Have a wonderful vacation!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
