    Hello I have read about the dress attire for the ship but want to know from personal experience how dressy it really is. Can my husband and 3 yr old wear nice dress shorts to dinner? Can anyone comment? (also pirate/tropical nite - can we wear normal?)

    It is wonderful to hear from you again!  When we have sailed in the past, I have let my son wear nice shorts in the dining room.  Since Disney Cruise Line suggests no shorts in the dining room for dinner, I can usually get my husband to wear his khaki pants and change into his shorts after dinner.  I have not seen them turn anyone away for what they are wearing, but I do know they try to set a more formal atmosphere in the evening to go along with the regal decor and elaborate theming in the three main dining rooms.
    On Pirate Night, cruise casual is absolutely fine!  You will see many Guests in pirate attire, but also in normal clothing as well!
